The mayor of a South Texas town has been found dead in an accident on his Atascosa County ranch last Monday. According to the Atascosa County Sheriff's Office, Hollywood Park Mayor William "Bill" Bohlke was apparently attacked by a 500-pound donkey he kept at the ranch in Atascosa County, south of San Antonio. His body was found Monday night during a search by deputies and relatives. Bohlke was 65. A formal cause of death is pending. Bohlke was elected mayor of Hollywood Park in May. An 11-year-old boy from McAllen died one week after being struck by a car while riding his bicycle. McAllen police said the accident occurred when Matthew Scott Yager, 11, was riding his bike and was hit by a car Tuesday night, August 22nd near Nolana Avenue and North 1st Street. A motorcyclist was critically injured in an accident Tuesday on Interstate 70 in Morgan County. Police say Kenneth Kanzius, 56, of Azle, Texas, was taken to Wishard Hospital with head injuries after he was ejected from his bike. This was after he struck an orange construction barrel in the travel portion of the left lane of I-70 near the 61.6 mile marker. A man was injured when his semi rolled over early Tuesday morning in Gove County, approximately 3 miles northeast of Grainfield. At about 1:45 a.m. on Kansas Highway 23, a northbound 2005 Kenworth semi missed a turn and entered a county road. Sonia Garcia Killed in South Austin Car Crash

A fatal traffic accident killed a 43-year-old woman in South Austin on Monday. According to the Austin police, a woman was taking the Slaughter Lane exit and attempted to re-enter I-35 at the last second. The vehicle veered while on the exit ramp and caused it to roll several times. The driver, identified as Sonia Garcia, 43, was ejected from her vehicle. Jimmy Charles Young Jr. Killed in Cherokee County Logging Accident

A tree fell on a Henderson man during a logging accident Sunday afternoon in Cherokee County. Jimmy Charles Young Jr., 38, was on a property owned by William Carroll Hollis of Alto, working with other loggers to clear trees when a large tree he was cutting fell on top of him. The accident occurred before 3:00pm on Hwy. 21 East at the Angelina River bridge. A co-worker tried moving the tree with equipment, while another called 9-1-1. Douglas VFD and Nacogdoches EMS responded immediately but found Young dead at the scene. The case is still under investigation.
