Lucas David Aubrey Killed In Auto Pedestrian Accident

An auto pedestrian accident on Friday claimed the life of a Beaumont man. Lucas David Aubrey, 33, of Beaumont, was walking on the inside lane of traffic when a westbound 2003 Chevy Trailblazer struck him. The incident happened at around 9 p.m. Friday on Highway 90, 1.8 miles west of Broadway Street. Aubrey was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the Trailblazer has been identified as Mack Clarence Mitchell, 37, of Baytown. No charges have been filed. The accident remains under investigation by the Department of Public Safety.

Ronnie Tumlinson And Norine Douglas Killed In Bastrop County Car Accident

Two Bastrop County residents died in a double fatal traffic crash in Bastrop County. The accident happened just after 6 a.m. Friday morning on Highway 304, about 15 miles south of Bastrop. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a northbound pickup truck driven by 38-year-old Ronnie Tumlinson crossed the center line and crashed head-on into a southbound Toyota Prius driven by 60-year-old Norine Douglas. Rodney Thomas Killed In Grayson County Motorcycle Crash

A man was killed after he was ejected from his motorcycle in Grayson County early Wednesday morning. The motorcyclist, identified as Rodney Lee Thomas, 34, of Denison, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The fatal crash happened at around 1 a.m. on west Dripping Springs Road. Thomas was ejected from the 2003 Kawasaki motorcycle he was riding on when it went off the road. The Texas Department of Safety says no other information is immediately available.

A motorcycle crash in Taylor County Thursday morning claimed the life of a 27-year-old member of the 7th Logistics Readiness Squadron at Dyess Air Force Base. The accident occurred when a 2008 Toyota Camry heading east on County Road 314 allegedly pulled out in front of a motorcycle, driven by Stephen Caswell Freethy, 27, of Abilene, Texas, travelling north on Farm Market 707. A pilot in a low-flying helicopter was killed in a crash in rural south Louisiana just before noon Wednesday. Hugh Clifton Kelley, 66, of Beaumont, Texas, was flying his Bell 206 helicopter to Louisiana for routine maintenance and was travelling back to Beaumont when the crash happened. The four-seat aircraft was flying low and crashed into a wire attached to a radio tower on a farm land near Crowley. Kelley was the only person on board of the helicopter during the accident. A vehicle hit and killed a 90-year-old woman while crossing a street in a motorized wheelchair Tuesday morning. Just after 7 a.m., Erna Zwicke of San Antonio was crossing the busy Fredericksburg Road when she rolled in front of a vehicle that had just topped a hill. A 20-year-old motorcyclist was killed after hitting two vehicles on Interstate 35 Sunday afternoon. New Braunfels police have identified the victim as James Curtis of Cleburne. Curtis was travelling north on FM 306 at about 1:00 p.m. when he lost control of his motorcycle. He swerved right and hit a car stopped on the shoulder.
