David Kurdupski Killed In Louisiana Fatal Crash

A 24-year-old man from Vidor has died in a Sunday morning single-vehicle crash in Vinton, Louisiana.

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle crash at approximately 4:15 a.m. on the 1500 block of Wright Road in Vinton.

A truck was heading north on Wright Road when the vehicle seemed to have run off the road and crashed into a tree.

The deputies spoke with the truck’s driver, Devon D. Courmier, 23, of Orange, Texas, on the scene and they detected a strong odor of alcohol emitting from her breath.

She was treated with non-life threatening injuries in a hospital and was released.

The passenger, David Kurdupski of Vidor, was taken to an area hospital where he later died.

Courmier has been arrested for vehicular homicide, DWI 1st and careless operation. She has been released from the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Facility on a $1,500 bond.
