A district judge and a Temple police officer were hurt following a two-vehicle crash on Belton Friday night.

District Judge Martha Jane Trudo was undergoing treatment at Scott and White Hospital in Temple after an accident at the intersection of FM 2410 and Simmons Road just south of U.S. Highway 190 outside of Belton at about 6 p.m. Friday.

The unidentified officer had to be cut from the wreckage of his patrol car and was also taken to Scott and White Hospital.

No further information was available on the nature and severity of injuries.

Police are investigating to see if a third vehicle was involved in the accident.
