A 10-year-old boy was killed in east Harris County Tuesday after he was ejected from the car he was riding in. The accident happened when a Pontiac ran a red light along Highway 90 near Uvalde Road in the Channelview area and crashed into a Scion. Maria Cornejo was driving the Pontiac, with her son Carmelo, riding in the backseat.  The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the boy was not fastened in a seatbelt and was pronounced dead on the scene. Michael Anthony Gomez Killed in Laredo Wreck

A two-vehicle collision Monday in Laredo left one San Antonio truck driver dead. At about 5:40 a.m., a 2009 Kenworth tractor had been heading north along U.S. 59 near Mile Marker 806 when it suddenly veered onto the southbound lanes and slammed into an oncoming Ford F-350 pickup. Texas Department of Public Safety identified the tractor driver as 27-year-old Michael Anthony Gomez. He was instantly killed in the wreck. Jayson Wayne Moore Dies in Auto-Pedestrian Wreck on 103 East

A 36-year-old pedestrian was killed after he was hit by a truck-trailer early Sunday morning in Angelina County. The accident happened at approximately 6:30 a.m. on state Highway 103 east. Jayson Wayne Moore, 36, of Nacogdoches, was walking along westbound side of the highway when he was hit by a 2004 Ford F150 towing a 2011 home-built boat trailer. Moore was instantly killed in the accident. The Department of Public Safety identified the truck driver as Tony Ray Burks, of Nacogdoches. This crash remains under investigation.

A three-vehicle crash on Saturday near Cherokee County Road 1409 between Jacksonville and New Summerfield claimed the lives of four Palestine men. The accident occurred just before 8 a.m. when a Chevy Impala heading south on U.S. 79 swerved into the northbound lane, sideswiping a blazer before crashing head-on into an 18-wheeler. The Texas Department of Public Safety has confirmed one fatality in a rollover accident in Mathis Thursday evening. The deadly wreck occurred after 11 p.m. on Interstate 37 one mile south of Mathis. A northbound 2004 Pontiac Sunfire veered into the median, over corrected, and went into a skid. The car rolled over and landed on its top. A Cossacks Motorcycle Club biker was injured in an accident at the intersection of 42nd Street and Texas Avenue Thursday night. The incident happened at approximately 6:30 p.m. when a pick-up truck and a motorcycle was heading east on 42nd.  The truck made a right turn onto Texas and the motorcycle crashed into the truck’s passenger-side door. One man is dead when his flatbed wrecker was struck by a BNSF train Wednesday afternoon at a rural crossing north of Crawford. The Department of Public Safety said a truck driven by David Reid McCartney, 28, was heading east on Simpson Road, just off North Lone Star Parkway, when a southbound train hit the truck at the crossing at around 5:00 p.m. McCartney was ejected from the vehicle and was immediately killed in the accident. MSU Graduate Kelvin Chazarreta Killed in Rollover Accident in Fort Worth

A 23-year-old Michigan State University student was killed in a single-vehicle crash in northwest Fort Worth early Tuesday. Police said four men had been in a bar and left in a truck when the accident happened. The driver lost control of the vehicle and it rolled over at about 2:30 a.m. The passenger, Kelvin Chazarreta of Benbrook, was ejected and pinned under the truck. He was pronounced dead on the scene. No other injuries were reported. The victim graduated from MSU last year.

Juanita Hilarior Sent to Hospital After Three-vehicle Accident

One woman was injured following a 3-vehicle wreck Monday night in N. Lufkin. Lufkin police said a black Range Rover was traveling north on Raguet Street near A&B Body shop when she hit a red truck, which was then pushed into a parked truck before slamming into a nearby utility pole. The red truck driver, Juanita Hilarior, 44, was transported to the hospital. Her condition was unknown. Firefighter Lylian Berry, Jr. Killed in Fort Worth Motorcycle Crash

Monday evening’s motorcycle accident claimed the life of an off-duty Fort Worth fire fighter and critically injured his passenger. The accident occurred at about 6:45 p.m. along the 300 block of Sycamore School Road. Police said Lylian “Randy” Berry, Jr., 42, attempted to avoid a car making a left turn ahead of him when his motorcycle slammed into the car near Colfax Lane.
