The Captain of the Austin EMS died in a head-on traffic collision on 290 East, near the city limits of Fredericksburg, around 9 o’clock Saturday morning. Captain Randy Trinkle struck another car near a construction site as he headed home to Fredericksburg after working an overnight shift as an EMS. Trinkle was transported to Hill Country Memorial Hospital in Fredericksburg, where he was pronounced dead. Trinkle was 46. In a press release, the EMS said Capt. A Jackson Heights volunteer fireman remains in critical condition Saturday, a day after he was hurt in a one-vehicle rollover crash. Three members of the Jackson Heights Volunteer fire team, C.J.
