Two motorcyclists driving on the wrong side on South Side died in a head-on collision on Friday. The wrong-way motorcyclists, identified by San Antonio Police as 49-year-old Fred Rojas and 39-year-old Margo Chavarria, were pronounced dead on the scene when a truck hit them head-on. The truck driver did not see the victims and could not avoid hitting them. Both victims were not wearing helmets. The truck driver was not injured. No charges are expected.

A man with car trouble was struck and killed in a hit-and-run accident on the East Side early Sunday. The incident happened at about 2 a.m. in the 3000 block of Interstate 10. Alejandro Nieves, 41, had car trouble and pulled over on the edge of the exit ramp to Roland Avenue. One toddler is dead and four people are injured in a rollover crash in Kaufman County on Sunday. A man was injured after leading the Mesquite police on chase on LBJ Freeway and crashed into three vehicles Wednesday night. Scott Banks, 28, who was a suspect of an offense in Garland, was approached by police officers on the 1100 block of Thistle Drive around 11:30 p.m. and fled driving a white Honda. A three-car crash just outside of Greenville Wednesday left one man dead and another injured. The fatal wreck happened at around 5:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 380, just west of the city limits. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a 1999 Isuzu Rodeo driven by Cynthia Elmore, 48, of Princeton, crossed the lanes of traffic and crashed into a 2007 Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by Diane Hodges of Farmersville. Pedro Ibarra Jailed After DWI Crash Leaves Son in Critical Condition

A Christmas Eve accident in Pharr left a 6-year-old boy in critical condition and his father arrested for DWI. The accident happened Monday on the frontage road of U.S. Highway 281 near Nolana Avenue. Pedro Ibarra, 31, was driving a car with his 6-year-old son when it slammed into the rear of an 18-wheeler. Pharr police said the boy was trapped inside the car and is listed in critical condition at a hospital. Ibarra was required to take a blood test after refusing to submit to a breathalyzer. He was arrested on an intoxication assault charge that evening.

Christmas Day Crash Kills David A. Whitlock

A 19-year-old San Marcos man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Christmas Day. David A. Whitlock was driving a 2003 Chevy Cavalier heading north on Tuesday at around 10:40 p.m. in the 1800 block of Post Road when he lost control of the vehicle causing it to leave the roadway and smashed into an utility pole. He was flown by helicopter to University Medical Center at Brackenridge Hospital in Austin, where he was later pronounced dead. Whitlock was the only occupant of the vehicle. A man was arrested on Christmas Day after a drunken-driving accident injured his passengers, a woman and four children. Police arrived at the scene of the accident in the 9500 block of Texas 151 at about 5 a.m. Tuesday and found Abelardo Muniz Jr., 34, a woman and four children on the highway walking away from the scene. A man was struck and killed in a hit-and-run on Christmas Eve in San Antonio. Police responded to a call for a body lying at the roadway in the 1500 block of Goliad Road, just south of East Southcross Boulevard. Bernardo Rodriguez, 49, was walking a block from his home to a nearby store when he was struck by a vehicle at about 8:20 p.m. Monday. Rodriguez was pronounced dead on the scene. A witness saw a tan Cadillac with a damaged windshield leave the area. He leaves behind a 27-year-old daughter with Down syndrome, whom he raised himself.

Alicia Sjahadi Dies in Oklahoma Rollover Crash

A Sherman woman died in a single-vehicle rollover crash Monday in Marshall County, OK. A group of siblings were heading home from Christmas shopping when the fatal accident occurred on Oklahoma University Road, just north of the Willis Bridge, at about 4:30 p.m. Monday. O.H.P. troopers said the driver of the SUV the group was driving in had tried to negotiate a curve and dropped off the right side of the roadway.
