A woman was killed in a one-vehicle crash on Highway 64 West near Tyler Wednesday evening.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident occurred at around 11:45 p.m. in the 13000 block of Highway 64 West near the Tyler Pounds Regional Airport.
Virginia Wyatt, 55, of Tyler, was traveling at a high rate of speed when she left the roadway and hit a tree in the parking lot of the 64 RV Park.
Wyatt was instantly killed in the crash. No other passengers were in the vehicle.
An autopsy has been ordered by Judge James Cowart.
Roads in the area were wet at the time and investigators will determine whether it was a factor in the crash.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the wreck and there are no further details at this time.
