A mother and her nine children were injured in an accident in Liberty County.
It was 1:30 a.m. when a woman and her children were on their way home riding a Ford Excursion. She was driving on Eastex Freeway near the San Jacinto River when she swerved to avoid hitting something that ran in front of her. Apparently, police says, the woman lost control and the car was overturned to one side.
Troopers said the children aged between three and 12 years old each had their seatbelt on and that there were indeed 10 places in the SUV.
The children, who were all adopted, suffered minor injuries and their mother was seriously hurt. They are all recovering in the Kingwood Medical Center.
