A 4-year-old girl is still undergoing medical treatment in San Antonio Monday after being shot by accident in the eye last Thursday at her home in Hidalgo County.
Roxanna Garcia, 4, was shot with a BB gun, allegedly by accident, by her own cousin.
The bb is behind the cone of the young girl’s eye.
Roxanna’s mother and family are having a tough decision of removing the bb or leaving it in.
Removing it would lose her eye. Otherwise, letting it stay may create more complications and Roxanna will need to take medications and continue to see specialists in San Antonio.
This is an incredibly painful ordeal for such a young child to go through.
The Ronald McDonald House Charities is providing assistance with housing and transportation while Roxanna gets medical care in at the San Antonio University Hospital.
