A single-vehicle wreck late Monday killed a North Texas teenager and injured 2 others.
At about 11 p.m. on northbound Farm Road 51, near the Springtown city limits, 17-year-old Paige Davila was speeding when her vehicle left the roadway and hit a speed limit sign.
The Paradise teenager then overcorrected, shoving her vehicle across the roadway and through a fence, striking a pole and finally bringing the vehicle to a complete stop, said the Springtown Police Chief Ed Crowdis.
Davila died as a result of the accident while her two passengers, Christian Gomez of Decatur and Paige Harkings, both 18-years of age and from Paradise, were hospitalized for treatment of minor bodily injuries.
