A 78-year-old man was killed in an all-terrain vehicle rollover accident in Brazos County Monday afternoon.
Brazos County Sheriff’s Office chief deputy Jim Stewart said that at about 4p.m., Morris Endler of Kurten was found by his wife trapped under his ATV at the bottom of an embankment on their 9-acre property off Texas 21 east of Kurten.
“[The] ATV appeared to have rolled off the bank of their stock pond,” Stewart said. “The stock pond is down about four or five feet from the bank.”
Endler’s son, Mike, said his father had owned the four-wheeler for about three years and loved riding it.
Stewart said that no foul play was suspected.
“We’re not sure if it was an accident, or if he had an underlying medical condition that might have precipitated the roll-off,” Stewart said.
The accident is still being investigated.
