A woman was killed in a two-vehicle traffic accident Sunday night in Amarillo.
The fatal wreck happened at about 9 p.m. at the intersection of 41st Avenue and Washington Street.
Amarillo police said a 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser was heading east on 41st Avenue when it crossed through Washington Street and was struck by a 2000 Jeep Cherokee.
The Jeep struck the driver’s side of the PT Cruiser and continued south after impact before crashing into a home at 4103 S. Washington St.
The 52-year-old driver of the PT Cruiser Monte Hollabaugh of Amarillo instantly died in the crash.
Randall County Justice of the Peace Clay Houdashell ordered an autopsy.
The driver of the Jeep, Yolanda Scott, 17, of Amarillo, and her two passengers were taken to a local hospital with non- life threatening injuries.
The crash is still being investigated.
