A multi-vehicle crash Tuesday morning in Karnes County left one person dead and two others injured.
The accident happened at approximately 9:30 a.m. on U.S. 181 in between Hobson and Falls City.
The Texas Department of Public Safety said a green pickup pulling an empty trailer was heading north U.S. 181 when the driver lost control, drove into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on into a white pickup. Then a tractor-trailer and an SUV also crashed into the wreckage, DPS said.
The driver of the white pickup, Lance Bryan, 27, of Pleasanton, was pronounced dead at the scene. The green pickup driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle, officials said. He was flown to University Hospital along with the driver of the SUV.
The wreck is still being investigated.
