A motorcyclist was hit from behind and dragged by a 2012 Ford F-350 early Saturday morning in the 7000 block of South Soncy Road.
Julius AJ Gray, 33, of Amarillo, was traveling southbound in the right lane on his 1997 AVES custom motorcycle at about 2:41 a.m. when he was struck by a pickup driven by Joshua W. Campbell, 25, of Amarillo.
Both drivers were sent to the hospital.
Gray was in critical condition and has since improved, according to police.
He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
Campbell was later admitted to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Speed and alcohol were contributing factors in the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
