Four people are injured after a four-vehicle accident including a patrol car on Glenna Goodacre Boulevard just before midnight Wednesday.
The Lubbock Police Department said a white pickup truck was traveling at an unsafe speed when it rear-ended a gray Ford Fusion heading in the same direction.
Upon impact, a woman in the Ford was ejected from the vehicle. She was reportedly wearing a seatbelt. The Ford then struck and forced a parked car up onto a resident’s front yard.
The pickup truck continued moving and hit a parked patrol car. This was the final crash where the accident came to a halt.
The driver of the pickup truck was identified as 19-year-old Jason Chad White. His passenger, Joshua Taylor, 19, was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
The occupants of the Ford were Meagan Rough, 19, in critical condition at University Medical Center; Kaitlyn Canaday sustained moderate injuries and Trace Tomlin, 19, suffered minor injuries.
White was drunk and was arrested for two counts of intoxication assault.
