Jayson Wayne Moore Dies in Auto-Pedestrian Wreck on 103 East

A 36-year-old pedestrian was killed after he was hit by a truck-trailer early Sunday morning in Angelina County.

The accident happened at approximately 6:30 a.m. on state Highway 103 east.

Jayson Wayne Moore, 36, of Nacogdoches, was walking along westbound side of the highway when he was hit by a 2004 Ford F150 towing a 2011 home-built boat trailer.

Moore was instantly killed in the accident.

The Department of Public Safety identified the truck driver as Tony Ray Burks, of Nacogdoches.

This crash remains under investigation.
