A man was listed Wednesday night in critical condition following a single-car crash just east of McGregor.
The wreck occurred at around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday on Mother Neff Parkway just south of Texas Highway 317. According to Department of Public Safety Trooper D.L. Wilson, a 2005 Chevrolet pickup veered off the highway and hit an embankment.
The driver, identified as James Richard Westerfield II, sustained lower leg fractures and underwent surgery Wednesday afternoon at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco.
