A woman was killed after she was ejected from the vehicle in a car crash in a fatal one-vehicle crash early Monday.
The crash happened at 2:47am when a 2004 Nissan Maxima was travelling at high rate of speed and slammed into two power poles before landing at the intersection of Main Street and Davis Street at Memorial Drive.
The passenger, 21-year-old Hollie Elizabeth Chavers of Millbrook, was ejected from the vehicle. She was transported to Baptist South where she later died.
The driver, 23-year-old Benjamin Lee Gibson of Montgomery, had to be cut from the vehicle and rushed to Baptist South Medical Center in Montgomery with life-threatening injuries.
Prattville Police Department is investigating the crash.
