An Odessa firefighter was killed in a one vehicle accident near Penwell Saturday morning.
Christopher Clay, 32, was driving his truck on Interstate 20 when for an unknown reason he left the road, overcorrected and then rolled his vehicle several times. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
On Sunday, a group of West Texas firefighters went to Midland and braved the heat to collect money at the north side Wal-Mart for Clay’s family. They raised over $6,000.
Funeral arrangement schedules have not been confirmed.
