Dallas Police found a hit-and-run victim at 12100 Garland Road, near E. Northwest Highway, around 8:40 p.m. Sunday.
25-year-old Deon Hamilton was hit by a yet unidentified suspect driving “a dark-colored SUV” who was driving out of control and evidently “driving over and dragging” Hamilton. The SUV was traveling south on Garland Road, near Samuel Garland Park.
Police said the SUV that hit Hamilton was actually “the second vehicle to strike” him. He was initially run over by another car whose driver “stopped immediately” in an attempt to look for help.
Hamilton was taken to the Doctors Hospital at White Rock Lake and was declared dead at 9:30 p.m.
Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office will further examine and determine the cause of death.
