Two people were taken to the hospital after a car crash in the 600 block of West 17th Street on July 30, 2012.
The accident occurred at about 11:45 a.m when a gold Chevrolet Trailblazer tried to pass on the left side of a white Crown Victoria, but Leary Owen, who was driving the Crown Victoria, turned left into a residence area and collided with the Trailblazer.
The Trailblazer’s driver, Barbara Heath, 28, overcorrected and the vehicle rolled over once. The trailblazer had three passengers, Scott David Collard, 27, and two children, an 8-year-old and a 2-year-old.
According to San Angelo Police Department Sgt. Korby Kennedy, Heath and Collard were taken to the hospital with minor injuries while the two children were unharmed.
Owen could be issued one possible citation for driving left of center within 100 feet of an intersection, Kennedy said. The investigation continues.
