Constable Mark Vojvodich Crashes into Car During Pursuit

A Bexar County Constable crashed into another vehicle along Interstate 35 while pursuing a driver of an alleged stolen motorcycle.

Precinct 3 Constable Mark Vojvodich attempted to stop a driver of a motorcycle with no clear markings. The motorcyclist fled and the chase began at Loop 410 and Perrin Beitel at about 1.pm. Thursday.

Vojvodich continued into I-35’s southbound lanes, where he smashed a Dodge Avenger traveling in an adjacent lane.

The patrol vehicle and the Avenger both spun. The Avenger careened off a guardrail and struck a Chrysler PT Cruiser. The crash caused a pileup along I- 35.

The driver and passenger in the Avenger were hospitalized. No critical injuries were reported.

San Antonio police said the motorcyclist was not caught.
