A 19-year-old San Marcos man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Christmas Day.
David A. Whitlock was driving a 2003 Chevy Cavalier heading north on Tuesday at around 10:40 p.m. in the 1800 block of Post Road when he lost control of the vehicle causing it to leave the roadway and smashed into an utility pole.
He was flown by helicopter to University Medical Center at Brackenridge Hospital in Austin, where he was later pronounced dead.
Whitlock was the only occupant of the vehicle.
The cause of the crash hasn’t been determined.
