A bystander was killed after an SUV hit her in downtown San Antonio early Sunday morning.
The accident occurred when a truck ran a red light on West Travis street and struck an SUV traveling on St. Mary’s street. The SUV was pushed into the sidewalk and hit Catherine Gutierrez, 36, who was standing on the sidewalk.
She was rushed to San Antonio Military Medical Center, where she later died from her injuries.
Police said alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
