Myron Ellis Killed in Mountain Creek Area Accident

One motorcyclist is dead after crashing into another car in the Mountain Creek area in Grand Prairie Sunday afternoon. Police said a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle was travelling at about 65 mph on FM 1382 when a Kia Rio trying to make a left turn onto Eagle Ford Drive failed to yield. The motorcycle slammed into the right back quarter panel on the Kia, throwing off the rider, 40-year-old Myron Ellis. The motorcycle skidded about 115 feet. UMC Paramedic Jason Cook Hit by Car While Responding to Accident

A local paramedic was sent to the intensive-care unit following a multiple car crash Sunday afternoon in Lubbock. The accident happened when Jason Cook, an off-duty UMC paramedic, spotted a two-vehicle collision at about 4 p.m. off Highway 114, east of Lubbock. He stopped to offer assistance. But as he got out of his car, another vehicle hit him. Cook sustained a head injury, broken ribs, a broken pelvis, and a broken ankle. He underwent surgery at UMC and remains in serious condition as of Sunday night. Cook was on his way back to Shallowater with his family, authorities said.…

Derek Blackard Dies after 2-Vehicle Collision in Northeast Harris County

One driver is dead after he was ejected from his vehicle in a collision in northeast Harris County early Saturday. The deadly wreck occurred at about 2:10 a.m. in the 17200 block of Adlong School Road, said the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. A southbound silver Dodge Ram truck struck a gray Nissan Sentra, which was parked facing the opposite direction on the roadway. Terrence A. Blount and Lee A. Jacobs Hurt in Crash on Wet Pavement

Two Texas men were injured in a rollover crash caused by wet pavement in the Rochester area in Minnesota. It was 3:25 p.m. Saturday when the driver of a car travelling east on Minnesota Highway 30 near Chatfield lost control on wet pavement, causing the vehicle to rollover. According to Minnesota State Patrol, the driver, Terrence A. Blount, 45, and his passenger, Lee A. Jacobs, both from of Houston, Texas, were taken to Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester. No further information is available on the victims or the cause of the crash at this stage.

Paul Keith Butler Killed in Bowie County Pedestrian Accident

A pedestrian died after he was struck by a vehicle in Bowie County Wednesday night. The accident happened around 10:00 p.m. when 36-year-old Paul Keith Butler of Texarkana was walking East on FM 2516 in the Liberty Eylau Community. Butler was struck by a vehicle driven by Christopher Plummer, who was not injured. Troopers said Butler took off walking after an argument with his girlfriend and was believed to be walking in the middle of the road. The Texas Department of Safety investigation is on-going.

The Department of Public Safety confirmed two people were killed and over 40 others were injured in a major bus crash Thursday in the Dallas suburb of Irving. The Cardinal Coach Line bus was headed to a casino in Oklahoma carrying about 45 people, mostly senior citizens, when it suddenly veered off the road, hitting two concrete barriers and flipped onto its side. Anthony L. Weide Injured in Philadelphia Accident

A Texas man was hurt following an accident on Mo. 168, west of Philadelphia, Thursday morning. According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, 33-year-old Anthony L. Weide of Longview, Texas, was driving a 2004 Peterbilt tractor trailer going west on Mo. 168 at around 3:30 a.m. when the vehicle veered off the road and turned over. Weide was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital by Marion County Ambulance. Marion County Sheriff's Department and Marion County Rural Fire assisted in the incident.

Angel Garcia Injured after Truck Accident

A worker from Gainesville was injured after being pinned beneath a truck Tuesday morning near the intersection of Locust and Harris streets. According to DPS Public Information Officer Mark Tackett, 30-year-old Angel Garcia was driving a 2010 Mack garbage truck around 10 a.m. Tuesday. He lost control, veered off the road and struck a couple of trees. Garcia was ejected from his seat due to the impact while truck was rolling. Mara Richards Struck by Vehicle, Injured

A Monday evening accident left a teacher injured after she was struck by a vehicle during a walk. Mara Richards, a Durant eighth-grade, was walking with a friend near the corner of 12th Avenue and Locust Street when she was hit by a vehicle. Police responded to the accident at 7:37 p.m. together with emergency personnel. Richards was provided first aid by the Firefighters and Bryan County EMS also assisted.
