Jeanne Trowbridge Killed in Motorcycle Accident

A collision involving a motorcycle and a truck injured a man and killed a woman Monday night in Robinson. 56-year-old Jeanne Trowbridge and 52-year-old Neal Trowbridge, both from Robinson, were on a motorcycle stopped at a red light on at Peplow Drive and Robinson Drive around 9:30 when a red pickup truck failed to stop. The truck, driven by 51-year-old Christopher Carter, hit the motorcycle from behind. A Monday night accident left a Greenville man and his dog dead when they were hit by a vehicle. 55-year-old Darryl Harris had gone out to get pizza when his 1-year-old black lab, Pepper, ran out of the house at 6012 White Horse Road shortly after he left. Chief Deputy Greenville County Coroner Mike Ellis said Harris went straight for the dog when it was hit by a car. A pedestrian was killed after a vehicle struck him while he was trying to cross U.S. Highway 380 in McKinney. McKinney Police Department officials responded to a traffic accident Monday morning before 6:30 a.m. near the intersection of U.S. Highway 380 and Lake Forest Drive. A long time District attorney investigator was killed in a Sunday afternoon motorcycle accident. Officials said Sgt. Lorraine Kerlick,53, died a little past 4 p.m. after her motorcycle crash in 26900 block of Hamilton Pool Road west of Bee Cave, near Austin. Kayla Elsenburg Died From Weekend Car-Crash Injuries

A Hewitt woman has died of fatal injuries sustained in a traffic accident that happened Sunday morning near mile marker 329 on Interstate 35. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety troopers, 23-year-old Kayla Elsenburg was driving northbound in a 2003 Kia Sedona at around 9:45 a.m. when she lost control while trying to avoid a collision with an SUV.  She then hit a guard rail and overturned. Two drivers were sent to the hospital following a fiery collision on U.S. Highway 59. Victoria Police Department public information officer Sgt. Eline Moya said the wreck occurred at about 6 a.m. Tuesday under the state Highway 185 overpass. Jose Elloy Sierra Killed in Vehicle Roll Over

An 18-year-old was killed in a single-vehicle rollover accident in Dalhart Tuesday morning. Texas Department of Public Safety troopers responded to a wreck at about 6:00 a.m. on FM 281. Jose Elloy Sierra was heading west on FM 281 when his vehicle slid off the road into a field, where it rolled over several times and landed in a field on the north side of the road. Sierra was ejected from the vehicle and transported to University Medical Center in Lubbock. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital. DPS continues investigating the crash.

Lance Bryan Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash

A multi-vehicle crash Tuesday morning in Karnes County left one person dead and two others injured. The accident happened at approximately 9:30 a.m. on U.S. 181 in between Hobson and Falls City. The Texas Department of Public Safety said a green pickup pulling an empty trailer was heading north U.S. 181 when the driver lost control, drove into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on into a white pickup. Jason Mitchell Dies in Robertson County Motorcycle Crash

A motorcycle accident early Monday in Robertson County claimed the life of a 21-year-old man. The crash happened on Texas 6 when Jason Mitchell collided into a pickup and was thrown off his 2009 Yamaha motorcycle at about 4:30 a.m. The pickup was turning north onto Texas 6 from Texas 14 when the collision happened. Mitchell crashed into left front fender of the pickup and lost his helmet when he was ejected from his bike. Mitchell was declared dead at the scene. The 2012 Chevrolet pickup driver, James Chmiel, 53, was wearing his seatbelt and was not injured. No charges have been filed against Chmiel as of Monday night. The crash remains under investigation.

Juan Gomez Dies After Hit by Truck

A pedestrian died Monday night while jaywalking at a busy intersection on the Southwest Side. 44-year-old Juan Gomez was hit by an eastbound truck while crossing in the 2400 block of Southwest Military Drive at around 11p.m. The driver of Ford truck involved in the accident stayed at the scene. Gomez died from fatal injuries only minutes after the accident. According to police, the driver will not be charged as he was not driving at a high rate of speed and was proven not intoxicated.
