Two women have died in a traffic accident in New Braunfels early Friday. The crash happened just after midnight in the 2500 block of Loop 337 at the exit driveway to the New Braunfels High School. Maria Teresa Hernandez Killed in Early Morning Accident

A single-vehicle accident early Thursday morning in Corpus Christi claimed the life of a 63-year old woman. Police said the wreck occurred just before 2 a.m. along Morgan near Port. Maria Teresa Hernandez of Corpus Christi lost control of her vehicle and flipped it.  Her car struck an electrical pole, a fire hydrant and a tree before ending up in the Bonilla parking lot. Hernandez, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was partially ejected from the vehicle and was killed in the crash.

Veteran KLBJ radio reporter Barbara McCarley has died Wednesday, a day after she was involved in a three-vehicle collision in Austin. McCarley covered road closures on Monday before ex-Navy SEAL Chris Kyle’s procession. Five Frenship Independent School District students were sent to the hospital after the bus they were in collided with another vehicle near Westwind Elementary Tuesday afternoon. A motorcyclist is critically injured after a hit-and-run crash in Lake Worth. Chris Journeay, 44, was riding a yellow Honda motorcycle early Sunday morning at about 3:30 a.m. along Lake Worth Boulevard when someone hit him from behind. A long time Laredo teacher was a victim of a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in north Webb County. The accident occurred at about 3:20 p.m. at the intersection of Columbia Toll Road and Interstate Highway 35. A driver was killed Sunday afternoon after his car was rear-ended by an off-duty Bexar County sheriff's deputy on U.S. 90. Jose Olveda, 57, was heading east of the highway near the Nogalitos Street exit when his car either stalled or was moving very slowly and a deputy’s car struck the back of his vehicle.
