A woman died in a motorcycle crash Tuesday night in northwest Harris County.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred at about 10 p.m. in the 6800 block of High Stone.
A motorcycle was heading west in the 6800 block of High Stone when the driver apparently lost control, hit a curb, careened from the road and slammed into a light pole.
The woman riding on the back, identified as Ashley Campos, was thrown from the bike. She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
Both victim and driver were not wearing their helmets.
No information was available in the driver’s identity and possible injuries.
The crash is still under investigation.
