Tuesday’s deadly crash claimed the life of one Hallsville High School student and critically injured two other teenagers.
Hallsville Police said the incident occurred Tuesday afternoon when the driver, 18-year-old Samuel Ellis, lost control of the vehicle, left the road and crashed into a tree on Willow Road.
One passenger, 16-year-old Alejandro Olvera, was pronounced dead on the scene.
Ellis and another passenger, 17-year-old Austin Urbellis, were transported to a Longview hospital in critical condition.
All three were students at Hallsville High School.
They were all wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
