A man is in critical condition following a motorcycle crash in Tyler Sunday afternoon.
It was 3 p.m. when a motorcyclist was traveling west at an unsafe speed on Farm-to-Market Road 850, about half a mile west of County Road 21. The operator, John Bayless, lost control of the bike causing it to go into a ditch on the right side of the road and hit a culvert underneath a driveway.
Texas Department of Public Safety said Bayless’ bike flipped and landed face down. He was not wearing a helmet.
Bayless was responsive to emergency crews and was transported to East Texas Medical Center in Tyler where he is listed in critical condition.
