An Evadale woman was killed when she was hit by a car on Texas 62 early Monday morning.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, 27-year-old Jana Nicole Fachorn was pronounced dead on the scene by Justice of the Peace Becky Cleveland.
The incident happened when Fachorn was standing in the northbound lane of Texas 62 and a 1995 Ford Mustang heading north struck her.
The driver of the Ford Mustang was uninjured.
The accident is pending investigation.
No charges are expected to be filed.
