A 10-year-old boy riding his bicycle was injured after being hit by a truck Monday afternoon on Atkinson Drive.
At around 4:45 p.m. Monday, a Lufkin boy was riding his bicycle crossing Atkinson Drive at Trenton Avenue when an ABC Auto Parts truck struck him. According to a witness, the truck driven by Misty Haffner, 31, of Lufkin, was going around 40-45 mph and attempted to stop.
The boy was life-flighted to Memorial Hermann in Houston with a possible head injury, according to his father.
Haffner was arrested on an unrelated warrant.
