A two vehicle crash in Potter County has killed a Borger man and critically injured a teenager.
The accident happened Saturday afternoon on Highway 136 near mile marker 94. According to the Texas Department of Transportation, Levi David Cox, 36, of Borger, was heading north in a Ford pickup when for an unknown reason he crossed into the southbound lane. That’s when the pickup smashed into another vehicle head-on driven by 40-year-old Jackie Stapleton.
Cox was pronounced dead at the scene.
Stapleton, along with three passengers were all taken to Northwest Texas Hospital for injuries they suffered in the wreck. A teenager, Lance Stapleton, 15, is the only one in critical condition.
The accident remains under investigation.
