A construction worker of a new San Antonio highway bridge died after falling 50 feet.

Early morning of June 4th, a worker who was part of the U.S. 281 and Loop 1604 crew, was attaching corrugated metal onto the bridge frame when the accident happened. Though investigators believe the man had a safety harness, it might not have been fastened in a safe location.

Victim is still unnamed. Nearby traffic was diverted following the incident.
