A Harlingen High School South football player was taken to a local hospital for examination after he walked away from a rollover accident on Wednesday.

Adrian Galvan was on his way to a teammate’s house around 6 p.m. when he lost control of his vehicle causing him to hit an utility box.

He said he avoided hitting a dog.

Galvan had no visible injuries and is evaluated as a precaution.

Doctors will determine if he will be medically cleared to play in Friday night’s game against the Brownsville Veterans Chargers.
